January Citizen Corps Council Meeting - mikegraysp@gmail.com
"Our first Citizen Corps Council meeting of the new year is this Wednesday the 14th at 10:00 AM. We have several new and several old topics to address.
I have invited a representative from Ventura County Human Services to make a short presentation on the services that they provide and the target population that they serve. We should look at the possibility of inviting someone from their organization to sit on our council.
The agenda for our meeting is attached. If you have any changes or additions get them to me before 8:30 or 9:00 on Wednesday morning I will add them to the agenda.
I have not been able to locate the minutes from our November meeting. If one of you have notes or minutes and can get them together and send them to me before 8:30 or 9:00 on Wednesday morning I will make copies and bring them with me to the meeting.
I look forward to our meetings and to having an effective and productive new year of service to the community.

Community Outreach Efforts
Santa Paula city is working on a report for the City Council next months on new ways to reach out to the community. They are thinking of starting an email newsletter that would be once a month or so. They also have thought about a sign-up for getting emails from the Police and Fire Departments in the event of an emergency. Question: Does this make sense? Would you sign up for such emails? Are there other electronic outreach efforts they should consider? What say you??
