Citizens Police Academy

"Have you ever wanted to know the who, what, when, how of police operations? Not the “TV” version but the actual facts? Here’s your chance! The citizen academy will take you on Ride-along with patrol officers, show you what a SWAT team does, let you experience a simulated high speed pursuit training course, give you a demonstration of the K-9 program and a look inside the world of gangs and narcotics and much, much more.

The citizen academy meets one night a week for twelve weeks. Each night features a new topic, with speakers, demonstrations, discussions and field trips. We’ll answer your questions and give you and in-depth behind the scenes look at police operations.

The next Santa Paula Citizen Academy will start on Monday September 15th at 6:00 pm, at the Santa Paula Community Center. Class size is limited, so don’t wait too long to submit your application.
